    Dawn Wells aka Mary Ann dead at 82

    COVID...

    Dawn Wells, who starred as Mary Ann in "Gilligan's Island," died Wednesday of causes related to COVID-19 in Los Angeles. She was 82.


    The only surviving Gilligan’s Island cast member left is Tina Louise aka Ginger Grant, 86.

            sad news. I was always more of Maryann guy. she was just so damn cute and wholesome. RIP!

                I don't think I've EVER heard of someone picking Ginger in a MaryAnn vs Ginger challenge other than the Skipper

                  A true icon of TV's golden age. I'm still in shock she hadn't been married since the 60's and never had children. It's the exact opposite I assumed her personal life would be.

                    Very sad to hear this. Like many, I had a huge crush on her. I was always surprised she didn't have a bigger acting career with more high-profile roles, since she was so charming and photogenic. Of course, as Mary Ann, she's immortal. I had no idea she was Miss Nevada, but she was flat-out gorgeous, so not surprising.

                    RIP.
