Well that was a different version of the Arrowverse shows. I need to rewatch it without having to do twitter at the same time but from what I heard/saw I like it. A family who bonds together in the end. There are still question to be answered but I will be tuning in to watch this (duh).

Watched the premiere on the CW App last night. I was VERY pleasantly surprised. Loved all the Easter Eggs (I wish they'd switch to that Fleischer look), but the actual story and acting was really well done, as were the FX.
As someone with two teenage kids, it felt very real. I found myself relating to Superman in a way I never really have, despite being a big fan all my life. THIS is how you portray a hero questioning what he's doing, without sucking away the joy and humanity that makes such a story entertaining, and not maudlin.
For those unhappy with Superman's portrayal on Supergirl, no worries here. Superman is in charge, despite a villain getting the best of him (setting up obvious rematches). Plenty of super-feats to impress. And no mention of the rest of the CW-verse, so a clean slate so far, for those who don't care for the other shows.
The rest of the series may end up blowing, but the pilot was great. Really hope they keep this level of quality up. And whoever did that awful first teaser trailer, I hope you were demoted to the mail room or something, because you probably cost this show a lot of viewers, and sold it WAY short.

^Easter Egg within an Easter Egg. The Superman comic creators (including writer Roger Stern) based Daily Planet interim editor Foswell on the Spider-Man character Frederic Foswell, who was a Daily Bugle reporter revealed to be the villainous Big Man, leader of the Enforcers. He later reformed, and died taking a bullet intended for J. Jonah Jameson.Comment

Ripped Jeans
Should have caught on sooner, but I liked the touch that Jordan Kent was wearing ripped jeans like comic book Jon Kent does

I wasn't high on this Superman. But ill be open minded and enjoy the ride, Its the first tv Superman we had in 10 years. I liked the first episode. Although the timeliness is alittle off, when did Clark have time to already have teenagers?
I'm curious which villains will be used and if Lana will make an appearance and actually be a redhead this time.Last edited by Mr.Marion; Feb 26, '21, 4:59 AM.Comment

Lana (works at the Bank) already showed up along with her husband (Fire Captain) and two daughters. CW does have a problem with red haired people, they get cast as other races.

Since this happens on the new Earth the history of Superman/Supergirl has been rewritten, so Superman & Lois had the twins early in life. This will be explained in the flashbacks.Visit my wiki site:
