Not really what you're asking for in this case either, but I always thought it was odd that the artwork on the Action Jackson packaging looked more like The Astronaut than the actual A/J.

Maybe you are right on point. Just phrased the other way around. The Astronaught looks very much like the AJ artwork. Perhaps since he was a generic replacement for Heston, they turned to in house inspiration.

Now that you mention the Knights, Launcelot looks a lot like a young Richard Burton.

It's been pointed out before, but Mego's Supergirl looks surprisingly like a young Heather Locklear, although it was released a decade too early to be intentional.
