Hugo scared the beejeezus out of me. I think it was those piercing blue eyes more than anything.

I have a Hugo and his box, but alas all of the accessories have gone. He does make for a great conversation piece tho. I may need to set him next to my Anything Muppet when next I do a toy display reset.

I probably saw Hugo in the Sears catalog or something, but I am pretty clueless about that toy. What exactly was his deal? Was the concept "creepy Mr. Potato Head for older kids" ?

Hugo and Mrs. Beasley were pure nightmare fuel.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. I was thinking Billy Barty or a puppet Peter Cushing. Mine sits right above me as I type this in his box. I have all the bits but the glue stick has of course dried up.
