my only interaction with Prowse is really a noninteraction. And I totally understand his choice.
Teen me was working a Creation Con back in early 80s Philadelphia when Adam, at least I think that was the name of the guy that ran the convention, asked me if I wanted to catch dinner afterwards with him and Prowse and James Doohan. Well, he actually asked Larry Mahlstedt, a friend who was letting me work from the gratis table Adam provided Larry for the convention. But I was included in the invite.
Anyway, Prowse and Doohan bagged out, claiming exhaustion. After our dinner with Adam, we were walking through Rittenhouse Square when who do we see across the street- Prowse and Doohan, each looking fully rested with a convention groupie under an arm.
Like I said, I can't blame them for choosing them over us. RIP Lord Vader!
