    The holidays are saved!!!

    THE HOLIDAYS ARE SAVED!!!

Well, at least a small part of them. Apple+ is going to allow the Peanuts Thanksgiving and Christmas Specials to air on PBS. I guess after getting some backlash when they made Halloween exclusive to the streaming service, they decided on a different path.

People could have also bought any of the readily available cheap official DVDs of the specials and never again worry about broadcast and streaming rights.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

        Awesome!

I have my DVR set for the Thanksgiving One. Christmas is not listed OnDemand yet.

        Thanks!

That reminds me, I need a new toaster. I have most of the CB holiday specials, but it’s not the holidays if these aren’t shown on tv and I’m sure the Christmas special will be televised.

I agree! I have them all on DVD but there is something about watching them live with the rest of the country. We are family.

Historically I have found the cheaper the better… on occasion I was suckered into a fancy metal shell and lots of knobs/buttons; terrible junk. My $7 toaster has been rocking for 14 years now!

I bought a $9.99 toaster at my local dollar store a few months ago

You get what you pay for …

Ready to chuck it because the interior heating elements crapped out like 2 weeks ago

Next toaster will be a GOOD cheap brand from Walmart …. maybe Sunbeam

I love toasting pop tarts and bagels, I could live on those along with frozen pizza.

Only here could a thread about the Peanuts holiday special devolve into a discussion of toasters

I have never in my life eaten a pop tart that was prepared in a toaster, as intended. Not once in forty years.

^^ Only once for me… learned my lesson in 1997 after a shameful attempt to toast and eat Brown Sugar Cinnamon. *** was I thinking!?!
