Question re: DC clothing for customs

    Hi,
Firstly, let me apologize if this question has been answered in another post.

I recently purchased via eBay what I was told was an 8-inch DC figure. It hasn't arrived yet, but it is a DC Silver Age figure from Hasbro which I believe came out in the late 1990s. My plan is to remove the head and costume, place them (along with other CTVT items) on a Type S body and add another custom to my collection.

However, after making the purchase I found postings for the same figure which indicates it may actually be a 9-inch figure. My question is, has anyone used figures from this line to make custom Megos in the past and, if so, do the costumes/clothing fit OK?

    Thanks.

That’s a 9” figure and the boots and gloves are not removable. You might want to leave it as is.

Anything is removable if you try hard enough.

Agreed, Sprytel. I'm just hoping I can make the clothes and the head work.

and the head is not easily removable either. Nowhere near Mego scale as is. Which figure is it? IF you say Aquaman forget it. The orange shirts are all decaying.

If you’re really good at sewing, you might be able to rework the outfit to fit. It will be gigantic as is.

If it’s the Batman I’m thinking of, the head will be gigantic as well. I think it’s big even for the 9” figure.

It’s the Silver Age Green Arrow figure.

Yeah I just noticed the other day that was happening to my Aquaman. It's too bad. I think that's such a great figure.

Don’t know why I thought you said Batman. Well, good luck!
