It does seem like kind of an odd choice to get a coloring book. But D&D and the fantasy genre was really hot at that time and the cover is probably generic enough looking to fly under the radar as a another D&D rip off to kids and parents. Nothing on the cover mentions it's a movie tie in and generic barbarian doesn't look at all like Lee Horsley.

Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Is the cover artist the same James Sherman who once drew The Legion of Super Heroes title and designed the Major League Baseball logo?

I’d buy those. That movie probably tops my guilty pleasures list.

Love that movie! The novelization is also worth reading.
