Does FTC’s 12-inch clothing fit Kenner’s Six Million Dollar Man?

Got a few scantily clad SMDM figures I’d like to outfit, but wasn’t sure where to find some new duds. Does FTC’s stuff work? If not, what would you guys recommend? My apologies if I posted this in the wrong forum.

Doubt it 6MDM was a bit bigger than GI Joe and I remember most Joe stuff did not fit.

FTC's 12 inch clothes is tight on a 12 inch vintage Mego so I doubt pants would get over those bionic hips.

Not in a million years - sorry. I did some experimenting and it's tight on smaller figures and none of it has much stretch.

^^ There seems to be huge amount of 1/6 clothing available these days, and more coming out of Asia all the time. I'd think there are some lines that run big, as there are large (tall, fat, muscled) 1/6 bodies of all kinds.

There was a line of 14" figures by Placo that had some army type clothes that might work. Everything I've ever tried to do in that scale I either had to heavily modify a bigger outfit and downsize, or just make it from scratch.

I was looking at those the other day. They really look great, but are as expensive or even more in come cases than vintage SMDM outfits. I guess I either need to learn to sow or just suck it up and accept that there isn’t really any cheaper options out there.
