I almost said Reuben, but I my favorite is probably well-made tuna salad on wheat or rye with lettuce and tomato.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

Currently, a recent (pandemic) creation… pork loin marinated in lemon/lime juice, garlic, a bold olive oil, rice vinegar, and smoked paprika. Once it starts to *cook* in the marinade, then pan fry in panko. Top it with mayo, honey mustard, gouda, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomato and pickles (preferably Bubbie's Bread & Butter Chips) on the bread/bun of your choice. Assemble it fast enough to enjoy the warmth of the pork with the coolness and crunch of the toppings.

Otherwise I'll echo that tuna salad and the BLT as absolutely fine choices too!

Dammit Mikey, that's like asking me what my favorite Rolling Stones song is; I'd give you a different answer each time you asked; but since I had this sammich yesterday, I'm gonna' go with a large Italian Combo (from the Eagle Rock Italian Bakery) with an added $2.00 of Prosciutto Crudo.

I'd say mine's a reuben. A Pittsburgh place here called Primanti's is known for fries and cole slaw on their sandwiches..

The banh mi at the Naked Onion was so good I would want it for my "last meal". But they closed for good because of the pandemic.

So I guess I'd have to go with an authentic Tampa Cuban sandwich.

The Italian Combo at Mancino's in nearby Georgetown is probably my favorite sandwich. They call it a grinder. Their tiger sandwich with steak and hot sauce is also delicious.

For a cold sandwich, it's hard to beat corned beef with horseradish cheese spicy brown mustard, lettuce, tomato and onion. The local Amish store has a great deli.

The Cambodian pulled pork at Num Pang. I believe the "num" comes from the Cambodian phrase "num num num num."

Our neighbor/pal is from DuBois and she remembers Primanti's while attending Penn State. Their "Dagwood style" fries/cole slaw Pastrami was her favorite. Open 24/7; great place to eat after a heavy evening of bending of the elbow.

                          Mine is a wish sandwich.
                          "Mm-hmm, did you ever hear
                          Of a wish sandwich?
Well, that's the kind of a sandwich
                          That you supposed to take
                          Two pieces of bread
And wish you had some meat
                          Doo doo boo"

Hot: A tie between a double bacon cheeseburger (American cheese) with grilled onions and a torta de carne asada with avocado.

Cold. A tie between pastrami/munster cheese on batard (sorry, not a rye bread kinda guy), and boiled ham and peppered turkey/cheddar cheese on sourdough.

Honorable mention, Italian sub (lots of genoa salami, please)...and fried chicken on brioche bun.

Also, home sandwiches the day after Thanksgiving dinner...holy smokes....

I can’t comment on a real Philly cheese steak because the ones here in Northern California all suck. None use ribeye, only lame tasteless sirloin. I’m sure if I try the real deal that would be my favorite...as I love friggin ribeye, lol.

Subway bread declared not bread in Ireland.

On a side note, we dont have any typical sandwich places here in Poland, ok probably only one is subway.
