Truly the end of an era. They just don't make men like Sean Connery any more.

Sean and Clint. The greatest movie stars of all time. I was sad to see him retire but I'm now glad he did. Rest to the best ever.

A true movie Icon and Hollywood Legend. There are very few that reach the status he did and touch as many fans as he did. My favorite roll of his was Indiana Jones 3 as Indiana's Dad. My wife and I have a signed photo of the two of them from that film and we have prized it since the day we purchased it.

58 year professional career with nearly 100 credits. Wild run including Bond, Zardoz and Time Bandits.

One of the great working actors indeed, and of course, *his voice.*

"Legendary" gets thrown around a lot, but he is one. A true movie star, and a great actor, who refused to be typecast, and developed his screen persona as he grew older, using his age in a way few actors before had done.

Very sad to hear this, Connery was a great actor and my favorite Bond, I’ll have to start watching his Bond films again soon.

Doesn't it feel like Bond is now over? I can't believe they have a movie in waiting. It feels like it has no purpose.

I sort of felt this with Nimoy. When Shatner goes, that will be the end of Trek. Amazing how a talent can embody the larger property.

total agree ,his turn as robin hood in robin and marian was a perfect example of this the once young outlaw returned older and diminished to try to right the wrongs he left behind to fight the crusades

great cast and some fine performances

Best Bond ever. 90 is a good long life. Still sad.

Having said that, I don’t think the Bond character is gone though, as I think Daniel Craig is the second best Bond after Mr Connery. I know many either agree or disagree, but that’s just my own personal opinion, as Casino Royale is one of the best Bond movies ever.

But no one comes close to Sean Connery.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned "Untouchables" yet, but that movie is stacked with great actors and he still may be my favorite part.

I still remember interviews with Connery condoning domestic violence... so I can't really praise him as a person... but he was a tremendous actor and (for me) the definitive Bond.

We feel that way because we are old! lol For a whole new generation, Craig is Bond and Connery is just some old dude. Sad, but true.
