The Phil Silvers show aka "Sgt Bilko"

Is it possible that Mego would ever get a license to produce some characters from this classic 1950s comedy show?
I don't think that any figures have ever been produced from this show. Long overdue in my opinion.
Would love to see Mego versions of Sgt Bilko, Col. Hall, Sgt Ritzik, Doberman, Sgt Grover and Sgt Hogan.

Is this something that Mego would consider doing?

It would be great but I don’t see it happening. I seriously doubt a MEGO figure of Ernie Bilko would sell very well.

I think that you are underestimating just how popular this show still is. It would be a great set to do. I am sure that there would be a demand for the figures.
The Phil Silvers show was very popular in the UK.
Perhaps FTC would consider doing it?

Looks like Mego is sticking to sf fantasy and horror or monster stuff

Yes, fabulous that they will be producing some of the classic Hammer Horror characters. These WILL be very popular. Will certainly be buying these, to go alongside my other classic universal monster figures.
I think that Christopher Lee as Dracula will be the first of hopefully many more!

I can't see Phil Silvers figures selling well at all. and I agree with Tbolt, doesn't fit the format that Mego seems to be following now

A Nat Hiken line would be fantastic !!! -- covering both Phil Silvers and Car 54

I think the success of a McHale's Navy line would depend on whether or not Mego could get the actor's likenesses. We saw what happened when they used generic faces. For example, I didn't care for their Charlie's Angels action figures because it didn't look like them. I only purchased Kelly, but not the others.

FTC might be a better fit. Could also use a Phil and The Three Stooges for "It's A Mad,Mad,Mad World."

I would like to see mego come out with Abbott & Costello, they would work well for their universal monsters line.

great idea, that would appeal to universal monster fans, and Abbot & Costello fans, as well.

No way I wouldn't buy that set! Why note do them. The 3 stooges have been done. I don't care if mego or FTC gets that license. I would love to see them done. Maybe even do other classic comedians like Jerry Lewis, Marx Brothers, Charlie Chaplin, Red Skelton.
Looking for FTC figures from 5-10 years ago

Abbott and Costello are long over due. Let's get them as Chick and Wilbur from "Meet Frankenstein" at least!
