Vintage Mego: Planet of the Apes Bend ‘N Flex

This week’s installment of Vintage Mego is all about the Planet of the Apes Bend N Flex line, a short-lived but highly underrated line of fun figures.

I don't remember the bend n flex lines when I was a kid. never had any. I do have the soldier ape and he is pretty cool. I probably should track down the other 5 apes.

The Soldier Ape (dark blue) variant is bit difficult to find MOC as well. Also you can find some minor paint differences in the chimps if you don't want your Galen and Corny to look identical.

Still one of the affordable and space-saving lines to collect with superfun packaging; they also look great loose on small stands too.

Very informative and entertaining. That artwork on the back captured my imagination.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
