Smurfs and the Magic Flute USA broadcast dub with original commercials

Here's a real treat. The seldom seen, since the 80s, USA broadcast TV dub of Smurfs and the Magic Flute complete with original broadcast toy and cereal commercials. The commercials are just as much fun as the movie including He-Man, Go-Bots, Rainbow Brite, Toys R Us and Mr. T cereal.

The US dub is way better than the more commonly seen UK dub. In my opinion it has better voices and Johan and Peewee are oddly called John and William and the UK version. That always bugged me. Even better this is actually the second version of the US dub with the better Papa Smurf voice that sounds closer to the animated series. Only the UK dub is available on DVD, Blu Ray and streaming.

It's a neat bit of Smurfs history. The movie originally came out in 76 but didn't get a US release until 83 because of the popularity of the Hanna Barbara Smurfs Tv series. Its also based on the earliest Smurfs stories so there's no Smurfette or Gargamel and Johan and Peewee are the main characters. The Smurfs don't actually show up for quite awhile into the movie.
