Screen Crush is suggesting maybe Foxx is playing himself playing Electro, and ASM 2 is a movie in the MCU, especially after the revelations at the end of Far From Home.

It's the MCU multiverse. Raimi has taken over for the Russo's to work with Fiege. One's the engineer the other is the architect. Doctor Strange 2 and/or Wandavision is the catalyst.
Just follow the larger news cycles and you can see the perry/thrust between Marvel and DC. CW beats out MarvelTV by having a shared tv world which culminates in Crisis. Marvel-Disney+ tops CW by fully integrating their series into the movie cycle. They drop Scott Derrickson for Raimi and turn Strange 2 into an expansion on the multiverse idea established in the Spidey animated. DC tops that by integrating all their previous DC film/tv versions into one shared multiverse via Flashpoint and Keaton returns.
Now we're seeing different actors that span the Sony Spideyverse lining up for the next film. It feels more than inevitable Maguire is going to appear in Strange 2. I still see all this building to Secret Wars, which could now be easily explained by having the Beyonder simply be one of the Eternals.
I feel like Jamie Foxx's Electro was bad mainly due to bad writing. Foxx didn't stand a chance when it came to portraying the character well. The script was just too awful.
Another rumor. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire are suppose to show up at the end of the movie. It's hinted at both will be Spider Man. It'll be the set up for crossing over to the rest of the MCU or will lead into Spider Man 4.
Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise Marvel hero Doctor Strange for the latest Spider-Man movie installment, starring Tom Holland.
If you want to know what's coming, just read my earlier posts. I don't take it from fan sites.
The whole Raimi/Strange2 deal was a backdoor way for him to replace the Russo's. Not that they got screwed, but so fans didn't know Sam was the one actually behind Spidey3 and the expansion of the multiverse. From the minute he came back, Maguire has been on board.
Marvel is telegraphing it now because I'm betting DC has secured something big, like Reeves and West's likenesses for Flashpoint.
