"V" really WAS the talk of the school yard. And it was big for my sister's high school friends as well. Well, the first two mini-series were anyway. Just like the rest of America, I had kind of gotten over it by the time it went to series, and I don't recall watching it much. So weird that everyone just kind of said "yeah, we're good" and didn't want more.

The toys would have been nice to have. I did kind of want that 12" figure, but who was making 12" figures at that point? There were no toylines to sneak the guy into.

Damn shame they never made those figures and vehicles.

(Ironically, there was a scene in the original mini-series showing a kid playing with some 3.75" figures of the Visitors and a shuttlecraft. Alas, life did not end up imitating art in this instance!)
