    Mattel Secret Wars Gallery!

Companion to my Kenner Super Powers Gallery, Mattel's sleek colorful Secret Wars figures remain a favorite!
Too bad the line didn't go further...

Great pics! Yes, Secret Wars doesn't get the love it deserves. Don't get me wrong, Super Powers is the better line, hands down, but I have a lot of love for Secret Wars. I still have all my well-played-with, paint-rubbed originals on display!

Nice! Yeah, Super Powers have action features, better sculpts and articulation but there is just something about the Secret Wars figures I really dig. The figures are so bright and glossy. They really pop.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That Iron Man is highly underrated. Captures that armor look perfectly

If you look at them closely, the Secret Wars figures actually have anatomically better sculpts than the Super Powers. They're much more realistic, especially the torsos and around the abs.

I swear I was the only kid who wanted Kang! I knew who he was from the Avengers comics and always thought his face was so cool. He's still one of my favorites.

Doctor Doom was a sort of fail for me, because he was off-model. I wished he at least had a cape. I had no idea who Kang was at the time, but I thought he looked cool.
