I'm sure I will go see this even though I've never read the book and hated the first movie. My wife loved the first movie and we go to the movies every weekend, anyway (well, before COVID). I hope they are able to tell this massive story without the voiceover narration that so annoyed me in the first movie.

Looks like the Duncan Idaho character plays a much larger role in this than in the Lynch version. Have your Dune Glossary handy.

looks good and a lot of good actors in there. I just don't think Dune really hits with mass audiences. it's a weird concept

I'm on the fence with this one. Something in my gut tells me it's going to be a bomb but my brain is hoping not because it looks like it has the potential to be better than the first one. I'm not much of a Dune fan though.

I think the Lynch Dune is an under-appreciated gem, but this looks really well executed and I am excited to check it out.

Personally, I don't think there will ever be another Dune movie better than Lynch's.

(In my best Aussie accent) "That's not a Gom Jabbar."

    "THAT's a Gom Jabbar."

But this looks like a real fun ride. Wonder if Floyd in the Trailer was a Hat Tip to Jodorowsky, or just a coinkydink.

Just hope they make new Dune figures for big fan Werewolf.
