I saw those listings this morning, in DeKalb, IL. On cards. I thought these were boxed?

I'm fiddling with the uploader - the pics I added to TRDouble's post ore from the FB Ambassador page. Figures are coming on cards - what Meijer wanted apparently. Here are the backs

I prefer cards. I hope we see an Aquaman eventually and perhaps a variant blue Batman! Nice batarang.

Card fronts are hideous, through no fault of Mego. WB/DC's stringent style guides have reached a new low. The backs aren't bad, but the fronts are about as bland as a box of old school generic laundry detergent. Look at the beautiful art created for Hasbro's Marvel Legends Retro 375 line? Heck, look at what Mego is doing for it's own creations!

Again, I am very excited for these figures, and I think the Mego team did a great job. I just wish WB/DC didn't handcuff them with these horrible style guide shackles!

I'm confused. How is FTC able to get around these style guide restrictions then? Because their card back designs are amazing.

Its probably a mass market style guide, FTC has some kind of boutique agreement, but they don't require the figures costumes to match the clip art.

For these I like the cards better myself, I think I’ll be picking up Superman when I see him available in stores and not on ebay, scalpers list.

Mego had a BEAUTIFUL card design but WB insisted on this style guide. I got to flip through that guide during production, it's dull. Mass Market and specialty licenses follow different rules.

I have a mini-Batman crock pot that looks like this, so I knew it wasn't Mego. A real shame they had a great design that was squelched by corporate conformity.
