Making my own vintage style Halloween decorations this year!

I've always been disappointed in the lack of quality Halloween decorations featuring the classic movie monsters, so this year I decided to make my own!

I pulled out my 8x10 photo stash and scanned them at high resolution, then
ran the images through a filter to convert it to just black, gray, and white.

Then I recolored the images in vintage orange and green and it looks straight out of the 70's!!
I'll be making a full set of monsters.

    Updated with final completed designs!

I realized I wasn't going to have enough time to paint all the monsters I want to do before Halloween, so I raided my stash of 8x10 photos instead.
WAAAY faster and they look pretty much the same once you posterize the image. I re-did the Mummy first and it came out great so I did the Phantom next.
Once I get all the images done it's off to the printer.

Clearly these need to be 6' tall illuminated reliefs in vacuum formed plastic!

                  Wicked.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That would make an awesome t-shirt... especially on a 70s style ringer t.
