Pandemic Toy Show Report Part II

The family ventured to north New Jersey today, for a "Pop Culture Toy Show". There was an add for it at the last show we were at a couple of weeks ago and the weather today was rain, rain, rain, so why not!

I'm honestly still not sure if this was a one off event, or something monthly. It was in a VFW building and while not huge, it was decent. The dealer space was full, but buyers seemed light.

Very little vintage stuff. Megos were once again represented by some nice Apes, but not much else. I didn't buy anything but my kds walked away with some video games, Lego minifigs, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

    Kids.

It's good to see shows starting to pop back up. Life will take time to get back to normal but eventually it will.

Exactly. I'm thrilled even with a mediocre show right now.

The shows for me were always like a mini-vacation. I would take the entire day, go out to eat, walk the show, talk with friends and buy some new toys. I miss the gathering as much as I do finding some great toys

Setting up at shows was an excuse to hang out with my friends, I really never cared if I made money past table fees.

I believe you and I have spoken at toy conventions in Columbus haven't we?

I used to get a table once a year in Columbus. It was fun to do it with my wife and kids so you might have talked to me there.

Were you at the Ohio Expo Center? I hate that they tore that one down. I loved the venue and the crowd. Got to where I knew more than a fair share of people there. My apologies but I do better with names than Avatars. What's your name? I'm Shane. On here it used to be Toy Talk

I agree, LOVED the expo center! I'm Rob. The fairgrounds is ok, but the Expo center felt more like home. Good to talk to you again Shane.
