    Mattel Flash Gordon...the grail arrives!

After searching for many years, I finally got the Flash Gordon Rocket Ship...it was a Mattel employee-owned piece, still sealed.

So of course I opened it and put it together! Everything was in pristine perfect condition, and to my surprise, even the decals were still in perfect shape as well as the self adhesive velcro tabs.
This thing is HUGE and will serve as an amazing backdrop for my set of figures.

This beautiful toy is a perfect example of something that should never be left in the box. It's so amazing when assembled, to sit folded up and in pieces is just a waste.

Neat! I am amazed the vinyl is in such perfect condition.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It was purchased directly from the Mattel archives. They had it stored away under ideal conditions.

Great find, Dwayne. She's a beauty! I was always intrigued by that one as a kid, but the inflatable design made me reluctant to get it. Now that I'm older, of course, I find the inflatable design adorable.

When I was a kid they had a ton of these at the local Sears Outlet store. They cost $1.00 and were a last resort to get SOMETHING from that store.
Zombie? Vampire? Evil clown?!? Yes, please.

Wow, that's glorious. And it fits the old school aesthetic of Flash so well. I could almost see this as a prop in the 1980 movie!
