    John Saxon, the rugged actor who kicked around with Bruce Lee in 'Enter the Dragon' and appeared in three 'Nightmare on Elm Street' movies for director Wes Craven, has died. He was 83.

      RIP. One of my favorite character actors, from '60s TV to Enter the Dragon, WW, SMDM amd more. Was just rewatching Battle Beyond the Stars this week and thinking again of how much I enjoyed his work.

      The Hollywood Reporter mentions his debut in The Unguarded Moment. Starring Esther Williams, it's often in rotation on TCM.

          Sad to hear this. Always thought my grade nine teacher was his lookalike. Big fan of Maskatron, Nightmare on Elm Street and Enter the Dragon. Sad sad news. Regis too.

                  I always liked him and felt he should have been a bigger star. For me, one of my favorite of his performances was as Cyrano de Bergerac in an episode of Fantasy Island. It was a quick spot, but he gave it his all.

                      Sad news to hear, he also guest stared in some tv westerns, he was in Bonanza and Gunsmoke, also the Virginian too I believe.

                          Always loved him. Was just watching Tenebrae a few weeks back and I commented to my wife that I’m always happy to see him in something.

                              Sad to hear. Enter the Dragon is one of my favorites. Of course loved him in the SMDM and Bionic Woman Bigfoot episode.

                                  Great old school talent. Like Robert Culp, it's a presence that's missing from today's very lacking talent pool. Half a lifetime ago, he was a funny guy to talk to. Rest

                                      Will always remember him for the role of Mr Roper in Enter The Dragon.

                                      I’m not religious...but it’s a nice thought to believe his doing some Katas alongside Bruce Lee right now.
