Early to mid 70's Horror TV series

Alright... Bear with me on this. I'm trying to locate a Horror TV program that would have been on in the mid to early 70's. The catch is I can't remember the name, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a series exactly, it was something showing multiple different scary stories. There's a good chance it was just in re-runs by the time I was seeing it, so I know that doesn't help much either.

One thing I do remember very specifically was the opening of the program. I remember it being very creepy and had a heartbeat sound in the background that got louder and louder. Chiller Theater seems to be the closest in time and weirdness but it isn't it.

I've tried google searches off an on for this and really never had any luck so I thought I'd toss this meager info out here in case someone has any idea.

    Night Gallery?
You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

I hope you find out, I’m curious to what it is. I remember Ghost Story and Tales of the Unexpected.

Not Night Gallery... I really wish I could remember what it was. Very basic, and repetitive.

I'm wondering if it was something more local channel related, just showing different spooky movies each week. I'd love to ask my dad as we would remember, but sadly that's not possible.

I don't envy you, memories like this can be maddening. I've tried for years to locate and reread a short horror story from an '80s anthology about a dying boy who was bred into a plant and presented to his unwitting parents by the botanist.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

            Fright Night

            or

            Ghost Story?

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Did it have a host? I imagine it was in color If it was made in the 70s. And it was a series you say ?

It seemed to be a Friday night, Saturday night type late show. I don't remember a host but it feels like it was a hosted type of show that would show something different each week. Which makes me wonder if it was a regional type of thing. So IL/MO/KY type area.

                    Creature Features from WGN?

Here it is - a special Halloween and 4th Fuzzy Anniversary Treat - not a re-creation, but an original opening to Creature Features - WGN Channel 9's showcase...

It’s amazing how much stuff there was to watch back then. Of course nothing like today, but still really cool to remember and discover these old shows.
