5 Awesome things on eBay this week

Tarzan Paint 'N Wear set by Avalon- I dig Tarzan and I also love 70s craft kits but I do not look good in white.

Corgi Toys Spider-Man three pack- Oh goodness, this thing just makes me 8 years old again. My personal favourite being the jeep in the middle.

Action Team Super Peggy In Europe, the GI Joe Adventure Team added something we didn't get, the ladies and they were really nicely made figures too. I'd love to own one of these.

    's
Ultra7 Baseball Glove- It's Ultraman day! So this is the weirdest thing I could find. I don't have enough Ultraman stuff.

Strange Paradise Novel- "Strange Paradise" was a Canadian Soap Opera, a ripoff of "Dark Shadows" that was created by Steven Krantz (who was behind the 1966 Spider-Man series). As i recall, the show mainly revolved around voodoo, reruns aired on City TV in the late 70s, where I could not look away. I swear, nothing ever happened but my friend Johnny swore Jean Paul Desmond (the show's Barnabas) once conjured a demon.

I actually had that Strange Paradise paperback back in the 1980s/1990s. I had never heard of the "hit tv show" before then. I remember picking it up at a local thrift store because it had Paperback Library Gothic, which was the same one that did the Dark Shadows novels. According to my index card on file, I gave it a B mostly because of the voodoo. Here's what I wrote about it on the card: Maljardin is an island off the coast of Mariacas in the Caribbean. On it is a castle owned by Jean Paul Desmond, the richest man in the world. However, he is being possessed by is ancestor, Eloi des Mondes, in hopes to bring his dead wife back.

I found out a little bit more about the show when I subscribed to The World of Dark Shadows fanzine and even then the information was spotty. I learned more about it when I did some searching on the Internet in the late 1990s at the local community college. The setting moved from the Caribbean to North America. In 1993, the first 105 episodes of Strange Paradise was released on 21 video cassettes before the project folded (there were a total of 195 episodes). You can view episodes on YouTube, which I have yet to do.

There are only three novels in the series: #1 Strange Paradise, #2 Island of Evil and #3 Raxl, Voodoo Priestess.

I have never seen the large Spider-Copter up close. Love the "tongue" action they give it! So weird! I have the Corgi Batcycle, which is of course mostly the same mold in different colors. Wish I still had those rockets!

            Spider-Copter or Scorpion Copter

I have never seen the Corgi Spider-Man set before, great find.

Its a shame that somebody didn't think that this should have been green for the Scorpion instead of another Spider-Copter

I guess kids could use the Ultraman glove while playing with this (a toy that I've always wanted):

I would have been on that Tarzan t-shirt back in the day, heck I’d buy it now if they had it in adult sizes.
