Hugh Downs RIP

He was 99 years old. While I was never a huge fan of his, you cannot deny, he definitely left his mark on TV. I did enjoy, from time to time, watching 20/20.

Not to be flippant, but I assumed he passed long ago. I watched a lot of 20/20 growing up. It was a bit...friendlier than the harder hitting 60 Minutes. There were several geeky segments on 20/20 in the late 80s. Marvel's 25th anniversary, Batman '89... good stuff!

He had a long and varied career... We'll probably never again see anyone with the longevity he had.

I watched 20/20 nearly every week. Hugh always seemed like a class act. RIP.

I loved his guest spot on CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU, brilliant, enjoyed watching 20/20 back in the 80's, he WAS Missed and he will be missed.
