    Happy B-Day Olivia de Havilland

Yeah, once a year, I have to give a shout out to one of my all-time favorite legends of the screen: 104-year-old -- "the great" Olivia De Haviland! To say she is one of the BEST (and one of the last) individuals from the golden age of Hollywood -- well, she is! From "Gone with the Wind" to "Robin Hood" to her fabulous performance in "The Snake Pit" she has done it all!

Olivia de Havilland, I have a big crush on her, she was very beautiful in a cute innocent way, very classy golden age actress, God bless and a big Happy Birthday 104.

I think she currently lives in seclusion somewhere in France.

I checked the tv listings for Turner Classic Movies, and surprisingly there not showing any of her movies?

To be honest I've never seen her in anything other than Robin Hood.

In that she always manages to gift me with a chubby

        Happy Happy

Weird story, my sister's ex-husband is actually related to her! I don't think he's ever met her, but I believe his grandmother and and Miss De Haviland were first cousins.

She is probably the last living A-list Hollywood Golden Ager still with us. Happy Birthday!

And yes, the Flynn/De Haviland Robin Hood is unquestionably still the best!

Probably a dumb question but why is the Sheriff named Sir Guy in the 1938 movie ?

^The Sheriff is in the film as well, played by Melville Cooper. I believe Sir Guy was more prominent in several versions of the legend.

I've never noticed that …. haven't seen the movie in years

Now I have to rewatch --- TCM plays it every few months
