Possible new figures leaked

Hi all,

I saw on the dutch website where I usually buy my comics, new listings for mego figures that I hadn't heard about before.
Go to https://www.archonia.com/comicshop/nl/ and search for mego.
Could be false but still... some nice surprises if it's true.
Don't wanna spoil anything, so check for yourself.

Hard to say what's what. Obviously some of these are continuations of what Mego already has but a few are total "wish list" items.

Although, Joel just posted a picture of Ricou Browning in Ambassadors, so looks like the Creech might be a thing. Yay!

The one thing that is weird is the listing of Ultraman Taro but not Ultraman, I doubt that would be the first figure they release.

Oh, it's totally fair to say Mego is working on these licenses but as we've seen with BladeRunner and a couple of other characters, complications arise and they don't always make it to the finish line. Fingers crossed on the majority of this for me, I want a lot of this stuff.

I don't know how it couldn't be, there is no public domain novel, this is through and through a Universal property.

The one that has my attention is Hammer Dracula, Hammer licensing is a mess but there is one licensable Dracula film in the catalog and that loophole has been used by Big Chief and Product Enterprises in the past for 1/6th scale action figures.

So the Hammer would be Scars of Dracula? Interesting. I'm guessing that has to do with it not being distributed stateside by WB. Either way, Hammer is the key to competing with NECA.

Ahh. That makes sense. According to Wiki it says distribution is done by EMI, which is still a mess and asking who owns the rights depends on who you ask. WMG? UMG? BMG? SME? Rabbit hole indeed.

Thought the same thing but I'm good with any Ultra character being release as a MEGO as this point.

Oh I would grab a Scars of Dracula because it is only a matter of time before that movie shows up on Svengoolie.

Creature from the Black Lagoon is a Universal Monster title, but through the years there have been many gillmen creatures that have been released thanks to CFTBL. Then again UM could have saw the writing and decided to work up deal to stop Mego from doing near-UM Megos...who knows
