Mattel Retro Acrion and Type S Bodies

If this has been covered I didn't see it.

Has anyone put the head, hands and clothes from a Mattel Retro Action figure on a Type S body?

I haven't, but I don't think it would be hard. The clothes are really forgiving and the head should be straightforward. The wrist pins might need a little work, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it. I just stand my figures on a shelf, so I never really take advantage of Type S posability.

Hands/wrists work fine too... I just tried them the other day.

The biggest thing to remember is that the neck plug is glued onto a little plastic doohickey... so you either need to soften and carefully work it free with hot water or you need to crack open the Mattel body to remove the head.

Head fits. Make sure to boil head to remove then attach head to type s to cool and adjust.

            Thanks for the reminder.

I forgot to mention I was talking about the FTC/CTVT Type S bodies if that makes a difference.

Phil. Yes. I just did a Mattel head transfer to the new FTC Type S deluxe body last night and it worked perfect. Also, clothes do fit as well but very snug.

I was thinking of trying a regular Type S since the body proportions or similar to a New MEGO body and the clothes fit them ok.
