    Resin head attachment

I recently purchased a resin head I hope to use on a custom figure.

The head has a neck, but there is no neck plug to put into an original Mego style or CTVT body. I am thinking about super glueing the neck attachment that comes with the Type S bodies and seeing if that will allow me to attach the head to a body. Does anyone have any advice as to how to make this work or any other suggestions on how to attached the head without damaging anything?

    Thanks.

I am interested in this as well. I got a Mattel Two Face head that was pulled off without the plug so I am wondering if I can glue a neck plug to the inside to use on a type S body.

The resin head I have is solid, so I am thinking I will have to trim down the Type S neck plug and super glue it on (if that will work) because I don't want to risk drilling a hole into the bottom of the neck in case I ruin the head.

Why not just screw an eye screw into the neck and run an elastic band through the eye and down into the body? I've done it before, works great

Sounds like a great idea. What part of the body would you recommend hooking the other end of the rubber band to?

There's a pin inside the pelvis, just run the band from the eye to that pin and back

Meule, your advice worked great! I used a CTVT body, which promptly fell apart during my attempt to attach the head but I simply restrung the body with the same elastic cord I purchased to attach the head. I'm still in the process of painting the head and finishing up the figure. Once completed I will try to share a photo here. Thank you again!

I just finished my custom. Body and clothes from CTVT, head from Escape Hatch Hobbies, paint job by me.

And I didn't know the heads from Escape Hatch Hobbies were compatible with Mego

Yees, it seems to be the new thing. A lot of the Aurora Models (which the heads are based on to scale) work well in making new monsters.

here are some of my recent favorites, and Escape Hatch is always coming up with more:\
