    Lion Rock?

    Hello,

Long time no posting from me. Regretting getting rid of my Lion Rock WW2 figures hence asking this, do the new Mego company make or are planning to make repro Lion Rock figures and accessories etc?

Also, the worldsgreatestsuperheroes site - is that part of the new Mego Corp or independent? The site 'about us' certainly looks as if it's part of the new Mego company doesn't it? Do they just make parts for the new Mego company?

    Thanks.

I can almost guarantee that Mego will not be making Lion Rock figures nor accessories.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

that site has nothing to do with Mego, just a reseller of Mego style figures and parts. He posts kitbashes in customs and I guess sells them later.

Thank you for replies. It's a shame no one is reproducing Lion Rock type figures etc. Does the new Mego company have a website?

Mego the company has an official website, it's https://megofigures.com/

As mentioned that other site has nothing to do with Mego themselves.

The Lion Rock WW2 figures were sold mainly without the mego brand as the company didn't want to be associated with war toys at the time. So, it's not really as commonly known that those very nice action figures are Mego. I can't tell you how many "what are these?" emails I've gotten over the years about them.

Thanks for address to the new Mego company. I hope they are still in business. I'll have a look later.

I really think someone is missing a very lucrative market by not reproducing these wonderful figures. The new Mego company should look into reproducing them ideally. If I had the money I'd reproduce them - all the international variants as well as improve the body design and create new figures with uniforms that were never made back in the 70s and 80s. Are there any sellers who make repro accessories for Lion Rock figures?

Mego's current 8 inch figures are excellent and will hopefully continue to be made for the rest of our lives, but Lion Rock reproductions would be a nice change of pace. I recall the Lion Rock figures being slightly smaller than the standard 8 inch figures. Were the Lion Rock figures closer in size to Mego's Teen Titans bodies?

Yes, they were smaller than a regular sized Mego figure... They were 6" figures IIRC.

It's been mentioned in Ambassadors and Mego is not interested in going forward with them.

However, the whole thing wouldn't be a problem for another start up to reproduce, Mego doesn't have the copyright on WW2.

They are becoming quite rare ... especially boxed, even loose complete examples of the product are almost non-existent. It really is a shame, I liked them much better than any of the other Mego lines, they to me were way better than 12" GI Joes. Easier to display etc ....

Mego reissued Action Jackson.. it would be really cool to get military uniforms for him ala GI JOE......that would bring back alot of memories
