Star Wars Retro The Empire Strikes Back at Walmart.

Just a little heads up. I found the Retro The Empire Strikes Backs at my local Walmart yesterday. One of the nice things about it was that they were only $5 and plentiful. I may even go back and get some to open. They didn't have Fett, unfortunately. I'll have to keep a eye out for him. Of course, every Walmart is stocked different, but it's worth checking out. This was in Georgia.

I saw these the other day, but had no idea they were only $5!

Please forgive my ignorance, I don't tend to follow Star Wars figure releases closely. Are they finally making replicas of the original figures? If so, is there an on-line resource to follow what has been or will be made? These will be the first Stars Wars figures I've collected in a long time.

YUP! Retro re-releases plus a couple "new" figures that fill in the gaps, like Tarkin. Here's all that's been released: https://www.jeditemplearchives.com/s...ro-collection/

Very nice, especially the Tarkin figure with the game. Thanks!

I kind of wish you could get Tarkin separately instead of having to buy the board game. I’d like to collect the Empire characters with bunches and bunches of Stormtroopers.

Just wish Hasbro would stop using the "worn" look for the cards.

I've heard that this is a pretty polarizing subject in the SW community, I assume the worn look is to placate the purists.

I think the worn look and the massive sticker are overkill.

Saw Lando today. He scanned for $9. Wish he was $5. As to the cards,if you flip them over you should have no problem telling these from originals. There's nothing on the back, just a description about the line.

I'm not crazy about the worn look either. I agree it's overkill.

Looks like Fett is the one to get,no surprise. Already going for $40+ on Amazon.

I just finished my set. Finally got Boba Fett and Yoda. They are all really nice. I am amazed how close they are to the originals. Unlike the series 1 SW retros none of these have trouble holding their accessories.

Saw two in Wal-Mart, Hoth Han & Leia. Brought a smile to my face but otherwise no interest since the originals are in my vintage MOC collections.

I was tempted by the Bespin Fatigues Luke, an old friend from childhood!

Picked up Lando yesterday, but pricing in Tampa was $10, not $5.
