"He was tall as a young tree, lithe, immensely strong,
able swiftly to draw a great war-bow and shoot down a Nazgūl,
endowed with the tremendous vitality of Elvish bodies,
so hard and resistant to hurt that he went only in light shoes
over rock or through snow, the most tireless of all the Fellowship.
Hey everyone!
Here's another figure in my on-going Lord of the Rings series of custom figures!
This time, we have Legolas Greenleaf--a very prominent member of the Fellowship of the Ring!
Similar to my other figures, this interpretation of Legolas is primarily based on his descriptions in the book,
though a few notable design choices have been made in reference in past depictions of the character
(i.e. the Bakshi animated film, the paintings of the Brothers Hildebrandt, etc.)
Legolas features a 3D-printed head with yarn doll hair. His clothes and cloak were all handmade,
and his shoes, bow, and quiver were purchased from CTVT and modified significantly (including a real threaded bow string).
I'm very excited to finish up the rest of the Fellowship in time--only 5 more members to go!
We will also see about additional characters from the realm of Tolkien, once the main 9 are complete.
Thanks for checking out Legolas! As always, feel free to leave feedback!
