Planet of the Apes mystery figures

    Can anyone identify these figures?
    Seller has listed as Mego/Palitoy.
They look like bootleg knock offs.

Oh i love these guys, they're little wire bendies, not licensed but totally taking inspiration from the Mego figures.

^^ Those aren't bendies… hard plastic that's flocked with added stickers and accessories.

That's a decent grouping, only missing the second General and knives.

Every time I look at mine I'm reminded how insane it really is that someone scaled the Mego rifle/bando/knive combo down to this tiny scale. Some day the true history of these must merge!

I've never owned a set, I just assumed they had a wire-o frame.

^^ Sometimes you find them naked too – all the flock gone – and they still look really cool. These are one of my collection favorites… the quest to assemble a clean/complete set and the Mego-styling. Pure bliss!

I always thought these were/are cool little figures. I hope to own a set someday.
