    Pandemic Ebay Prices?

Has anyone noticed if our current pandemic has put a dent into collectibles prices? I think people are hungry with so may toy shows being cancelled, but the economics may mean there isn't disposable income.

    Just curious.

I haven't seen any noticeable difference either direction. the stuff I've had on my watch list for a year are still the same price.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I've noticed the opposite I expected things to be cheaper but items are selling higher than ever. I've won maybe 1 or 2 auctions since March but sold almost everything I listed.

It's truly bizarre but that's how it goes sometimes.

I've been able to grab some very good deals due to price drops. Some sellers are standing firm but others are running firesale prices.

GI Joe stuff seems to be going cheaper than usual.

Seems to me the pandemic is causing a snowed-in cabin-fever reaction.

People are buying their favorite collectibles because there's nothing else to do.

I think the collector market will hit rock-bottom if this continues into the late fall ….

In my comfort zone of Apes/Monsters/Japanese Stuff the prices have only gone up in the past 4-5 months. Anything with packaging, regardless of how damaged, is pulling way more than most of us would pay me thinks.

[rhetorically] I'm always puzzled that folks would offer up so much for mediocre/junky items, as with a little effort they could buy here in the Marketplace, from collector-to-collector, or even on FB so much cheaper and with a wide variety of options. Convenience (less-human-contact) rules the day I suppose.

Joe stuff has been slowly sliding down in value for a while now. Sad to hear the pandemic may have made it worse.

I've been selling some Joe and other related stuff on eBay lately and I'm getting around what I was wanting for it. Haven't bought much of anything myself, but i haven't seen much of a change lately.

60's-70's Joe's in general are lower and the amount of items showing up on eBay is much lower as well.

I'm with Marion and Confessional. Prices had gone nuckin futs during lockdown. I think it was convo money and federal stim dollars combined with little distractions and a desire to avoid news hysteria. Pure animal spirits. I've seen a marked drop over the holiday. I'm not sure if that's people now gearing up to do something for the summer or what.

It's common sense but if you think you'll be having money problems in the upcoming months now is a good time to sell some toys . You might not get that come Fall.

I was casually looking at going rates of some toys I have that I was thinking of trying to sell (I want to tighten my collecting focus) and holy cow, prices are crazy for a lot of stuff I have. I'm half thinking of cashing out while the getting is good.
