I think the villains relocated to Blue Valley to enact Icicle's plan. They've infiltrated every aspect of the town, never suspecting there were any heroes left to stop them. Pat followed Hourman there, and the trail went cold. But he liked the town, and his new wife grew up there, so they moved back.

It's a bit of "comic book coincidence" but not much, as they established reasons for everyone to be there.

So if Blue Valley holds something that attracted the villains and the mom/wife grew up there maybe there's more to her than meets the eye. I still like my Truman show idea too.

I like the show less with every episode.

^I like it more with every episode.

Unlike most of the DC shows, I feel like the creators here are taking the time to flesh the characters out and make them feel much more real. Yolanda's story is very topical and timely for teens.

When we watched things unfold with Yolanda, one of my kids looked over at me and I delivered the "See! That's exactly what we've been talking about!"

^Right on. Cindy looked at our daughter and said "NEVER DO THIS!" and she said "I KNOW MOM! I WOULDN'T!"

Their handling of her backstory really sold me on the future of this show. The other DC shows usually fumble and drop the ball at some point with their messaging, but this one really worked.

Another winner this week. This show has more edge than I expected, and I think it's a great balance.

                    ^Agreed, another real emotional gut-puncher.

I had no idea Lou Ferrigno Jr. is playing Rex Tyler, and Henry (E.T.) Thomas is playing Dr. Charles McNider. I kept seeing their names in the credits, but until I went to IMDB I had no idea who they were portraying.

Haven't watched an episode yet...but from what I have seen it looks like they are trying to basically do Infinity Inc for TV. I know they are trying to appeal to the younger crowd...but my one problem is these characters are too young in my opinion. Again, haven't watched it yet so I know that it may sound like a gripe. Hopefully I can catch this either on demand or through the app before they start pulling episodes off of the CW site.

                      I'm expecting this:

And getting kids that are teens...going to be a little bit of adjustment for me.

^Same here. Very few shows can get my whole family involved, including my 18 year-old.

I agree, it's become a family show. I think they do a good job with the kids acting like kids. Plus I love Pat.

With school out, we watch it at midnight on Sunday as it loads.

On a related note, I erased Legends from the DVR last night. There's too much good stuff in our pipeline and I don't see us ever backtracking. I think we're two seasons down other than crossover episodes.
