Someone did this on Twitter. As weird as the all-blue suit looked to me, this one looks a bit weird to me, too. I think the red shorts rode a little higher and the belt was doubled in thickness, it would look better. Let the discussions commence!!

It still looks better. Just goes to show these studios can add all the texture they want, as long as they keep the basic look of the suit. If you squint...those colors in that combination say "Superman".

My instant thought to this design was "oh yeah. Protective Cup". That comic logic never occured to me before. A visible cup would be a natural deterrent to a shot to the bag, because it's a super-cup and the average bad guy would break their foot. I'm sure Millar has covered this in some book...
