    Cleaning vinyl--Goo Gone is great

I've tried all sorts of things--solvent, isopropyl alcohol, degreasing dish-soap, toothpaste--to clean toy parts and have been pretty successful. But you have to be careful about solvents on polystyrene and vinyl, you can marr or denude the surface.

Recently I used Goo Gone to clean some paint transfer marks on GI Joe AT squids--glossy gray vinyl. It worked extremey well and one soapy wash later, they look C9.

I've alse been using Goo Gone and sometimes alcohol for years to clean Mego playsets.

I must concur! It's been the secret weapon to remove all those melted globs found on Ape tunics and gloves for decades; non-damaging and polishes up beautifully.

I use GG to remove price stickers that don't come off easily.

Wonder if GG would work on those awful "Retro Collection" stickers on the Star Wars Vintage figure packaging?
Those stickers are currently robbing me of either my childhood or Golden Years. Not sure.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Another success, this time with isopropyl alcohol: A Joe lot I recently purchase had some sap/resin on some polysyrene parts. I was concerned about how to remove it, but gently scratching it off with a fingernail and removing the residue with cotton swabs dipped in alcohol worked perfectly.

Another success with Goo Gone, this time cleaning GI Joe white Rocket Pack jets. It's pretty satisfying to see something jump a notch or two in condition just from careful cleaning.
