    Pre-Neal Adams Green Arrow

I love an easy custom! Here is my take of the pre-Neal Adams Green Arrow.

    Custom Green Arrow Golden Age.jpg

This was real simple. A Brian Leitner Green Arrow costume, Mattel Retro Action Green Arrow hat, and from CTVT: Zica Domino Masked Hero Head, FTC Superhero Molded Regular Red gloves, red pirate boots, brown bow, small black quiver, all on a Type S body... Done! A little fun tack in the glove helps GA hold his bow.

And here is GA with my not-so-great Speedy mod:

Custom Green Arrow Golden Age with Speedy.jpg

I think the size of Speedy works great with Green Arrow in this costume.

    Thanks for looking!

Nice job. Reminds me of the early Green Arrow comic books. Speedy looks great too.

Sweet! Those are both great reimaginings of the originals.

                  Sweet rendition!
You and Mike (Grammercyplace) had similar thoughts on this version of GA.
In my Inbox ( although I won't say what day, as I'm a bit behind on my email): AND NOW THE IMAGE: I got Jack Kirby Silver Age vibes from this one on a second look, so depending upon how you look at it, it could be both Golden Age and Silver Age GA, although if memory serves, Golden Age GA had brown hair in some of

The addition of Tack / Glue Dot I hadn't thought of to make those CTVT Plugin gloves hold things...
That CTVT domino mask head is definitely a godsend for us customizers. Thanks David Lee!

Yes, I love Grammercyplace's version! His version helped me flesh out what I had rolling around in my head, and then bleit1701's suit made it a reality.

Now I need a few trick arrows.

                      Trick arrows are EASY!
Here are three right off the top of my head:

First, get Dowels from Hobby Lobby / Michaels, in the modeling section, they go by diameter size, so 1/64th if in stock, if not Bamboo Skewers also work.

                      1. Boxing Glove Arrow: Use a NuMego Ali Boxing Glove...it will take RitMore Dye easily ( using the 50w/50acetone/20dye formula we're using on Facebook). Fill the glove with something that the dowel /skewer can go into, like styrofoam packing peanuts, or Earplugs.add a bit of hot glue to secure, done.

                      2. Explosive Arrow: this one is easy. Simply using Sanding paper ( or the 1/64 bit sanding barrel on your dremmel) sand lightly the end of your dowel /bamboo skewer to make a cylinder like shown:
                      c9309142479703a331f4c4ece1cb456c.jpg
the key is just to make enough notches to make the cylinders . Paint the ends in a light / dark formation to give it depth. Add Glow paint within ridges to add the effect of it being armed. done.

                      3. Glue Arrow: Use Hot Glue to make a bulb end on the end of your dowel /bamboo skewer. use light / dark paint formation to give the end near the bulb the right depth contrast to make it look like
activation agent is near bulb. done.

Of course, you can use fletching if you like from pieces of fake green fabric petals from plastic flowers.

Others include Rope Arrow, handcuff arrows ( using the numego Stitched Frankenstein iron cuffs that comes with the figure), and Sonic arrow ( which is just a variation of the Explosive arrow,
only the end would have tiny holes dremeled in).

                      Have fun!

We had the same idea. I went with a Robin Hood shirt and red gloved hands and gauntlets.

These are fantastic. I wasn't a big fan of this design until the Mattel 9 inch figure.

Nice! I went back and forth with the plug-in hands and the gauntlets, before settling in the plug-in hands. Both look good.
