My own personal Mt Rushmore is probably different from what history would pick. THe actual one based on relevance and importance I think looks like this
1. Mego Superman
2. Flocked Gi JOE w/ kung fu grip
3. Kenner Darth Vader
4. Snake Eyes RAH
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.
If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.
1- Mego Batman
2- GI Joe w flocked hair
3- Steve Austin (with one eye drilled out, creating a tunnel you can look through from the back of the mountain.
4- Fisher Price Little People Dog (Black and white with red collar)
1) Ideal Captain Action w/SUPERMAN costume set (my very first action figure)
2) Hasbro GI Joe Adventure Team Talking Commander
3) Mego 8” Captain America
4) Kenner Six Million Dollar Man
For my personal Mt. Rushmore--He-Man, the Super Powers Superman, Gabriel's Lone Ranger, and the Kenner Indiana Jones.
I totally get the votes for the likes of GI Joe and all, but I was born in 1975, so those came just ahead of my own toy experiences. As "founding fathers," I'd include GI Joe, Captain Action, and Johnny West, along with a Mego WGSH. When we start to get to 3.75", then I'd go Kenner Star Wars (and maybe even FP Adventure People). It's really hard to limit to four, of course.

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.
Here are my picks by line and introduction date (and favorite figure in some cases). Other contenders: Big Jim, Major Matt Mason and Colorforms Outer Space Men
1. GI Joe (astronaut with space capsule)
2. Captain Action (Spider-Man)
3. Action Jackson series
4. Mego Star Trek figures (Spock)
For me, the listed figures are the ones that changed the toy world for me when they were released. Not too different from some of the other lists here:
1. AT bearded GI Joe
2. Mego Batman
3. Kenner "Early Bird" Star Wars Luke Skywalker
4. G1 Optimus Prime
