So, who's on your Guitarist Mount Rushmore?

Your 4 favorite Guitarists for whatever reason: Skills, Creativity, Style, Stage Presence, Pioneer/Trailblazer, the way Silver Make-up is applied , etc. No Bass Players on this Mountain; there's a small hill behind it for them (Sorry Flea).

The first 3 were easy for me, but then it came down to Keith Richards and Eddie Van Halen for that 4th spot, but as soon as I remembered the King of Cool in the Waiting On A Friend video, I had to send the Dutchman Flying.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

So many to choose from but I’ll go with Santana, he’s one of my favorites and I have most of his cds.

Brain May because he makes the guitar sound I most like.

A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Prince was such a phenomenal singer and performer, he does not get nearly enough credit as a guitar player.

                            My own Guitarist Mount Rushmore:

Tony Iommi --> The weeping solo from "Lonely is the Word" makes this guy the greatest electric guitarist that I have ever heard (Black Sabbath)
Chuck Berry --> A giant and originator. I love all his work, particularly his tone on "Reelin' and Rocking".
Randy Rhoads --> His work on the Blizzard of Ozz album is nothing short of amazing. Superb sense and skills (Ozzy Osbourne)
Lenny Breau --> I can guarantee you'll never find a better technique player anywhere in the history of the instrument.

Other guys that deserve to be mentioned in recollections like these:

Blair Thornton --> The solo duel against Randy Bachman on "Away from Home" will leave you speechless (Bachman-Turner Overdrive)
Don Felder --> The guy that wrote and played the solo on Hotel CA. That says it all (Eagles)
Ace Frehley --> Unique in every sense of the word (KISS)
David Gilmour --> Such a creative force, and magnificent player! (Pink Floyd)
George Terry --> The guy behind Clapton's "magic" in the 70's. One of the most underrated musicians in the world.
Andrés Segovia --> Classical guitarist. A master in every sense of the word.

That album was mind blowing. His guitar play set the bar way high.
