    How to Cut Heavy Chipboard

You know the thick chipboard used for some 70's playsets (IE: Big Jim's ski slop comes to mind)? Well, if I had some thick chipboard, how would I cut it?

It'd be too thick for an exacto knife and the internet tells me to buy a $200 machine, which isn't an option.

Any ideas how? what I could use?

    Thanks

    BB

Utility knife… no different than cutting mat board, illustration board, etc. Use a new blade and it greatly helps to have a heavy straight edge and a quality cutting mat for pressure.

Thanks. I wasn't sure a utility knife would get thru a 2mm chipboard without making a mess.

^^ I've been cutting art boards for 30 years and probably have tried most razor systems, but I learned even more from contractors who cut vinyl flooring, carpet, and drywall. If you're skilled with a utility knife, much can be accomplished. Don't be hesitant, plan ahead and cut steady. If you falter, so does your cut.
