    Vintage Mego : Closeout Space:1999

In a follow up to last week’s “Closeout Mego Superheroes” episode, we get weirder with a look at the very familiar “Starmen:1999” and their even stranger pal Pitstop Pete! Our Closeout Superheroes video can be found here: Our video about Palitoy Space:1999 video can be seen here: Mego Knock Off HQ Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/231169224543263 MegoMania…

These and the baggie Heroes are new to me. I'd love to see if any Trek figures resurface.

Speaking of 70's sci-fi, did any of the 6" Buck Rogers figures mentioned in Bonavita's book ever surface?

I am surprised by these close out items you keep finding. I would have loved these figures back in the 70's, I had the Mattel figures but the doll-like bodies always bothered me, although the sculpts were good.

That was wild. Really makes you wonder what is still out there. Maybe Trek aliens in baggies or Scotty as fighter pilot?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It happily amazes me that stuff like this still turns up.

They sold in the Argo catalogue for 2.49 GBP and these are marked 1.60 GBP, considering I believe these were sold in the 80s after Palitoy folded, it is a considerable discount.

Absolutely love the wild tales of closeouts and oddball mash-ups! Oh, and this is great quarantine-content.
