The Kenner Aliens toy line was considered it's own property. They had the rights to the characters but not the actors. Mattel is not at fault for the Hook line Robin Williams refused to let his likeness be used. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

I kinda half-watched this. If they were bagging on the Xena dolls I thought those were actually pretty nice. Nice enough that I have a set in ye ol' stack o' totes somewhere.Comment

I didn't watch the video but I remember the first WCW figure of Lex Luger from Toy Biz was horrible. and that Robin Hood Alan Rickman figure the head was used from the Robocop line, and the first batch of robin hood figures didn't resemble Costner.Last edited by powersthatbe; Mar 18, '20, 1:30 PM.Comment

My Hot Toys Alien Colonial Marines mostly don’t resemble the actors, with maybe the exception of Vazquez and Drake, the gunners.
But the figures themselves are so awesome, their clothing, their weapons, helmets, etc.
Early Hot Toys Ripley doesn’t look like Sigourney Weaver either. The new release does however.
I’m slowly replacing their heads with custom ones, but very slowly since each head costs $150.
Of the Nostromo astronauts...Dallas does resemble actor Tom Skerritt...but Kane doesn’t look like John Hurt at all, odd.sigpicComment

I have a Perseus 1:6th figure from Go Hero (who did Buck Rogers) and when I got the figure the head sculpt of Harry Hamlin was so bad I disposed of it and replace with a Thomas Jane Head from toy biz' old 13 inch line( which fits on quite well).Comment
