Getting schwifty with Rick and Morty

Picked up some heads from Austin in a trade and sent some dough to CTVT.
Ya know, that skinny body of theirs.....umm.

Anywhoo....restrung that skinny body and added some hot glue to every joint cavity to increase the friction. I think it worked out well.

Still a few things to mod yet, but you (burp) get the %@$!*(# point.

neat, and I've been wondering what the issues were with the skinny body

I picked up a skinny body years ago to check out and I tried to restring it and whatnot, but you actually got it to pose! I thought I would be happy if I could even get the feet to both point forward and not go all pigeon toed.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

Yes, the skinny body has its challenges. I re-strung it as I would any typical Mego. Upon doing so, it was still pigeon toed and would cause it to tip over.
Another issue - one leg is longer than the other (or something). I ended up using my exacto knife, and shaving at least 1/8th inch off the right heel to help level him out.
Then I did the hot glue trick. While it was cooling off, I'd twist the appendage a little, just enough so it didn't seal the joint completely shut. It created the right amount of friction.

I don't know what's more impressive -- what you have done with Rick & Morty, or making the skinny body usable! Looks great!

spending some time tweaking the clothes and painting.
I did opt to change Morty's body. EMCE Toys had a child body that gave me the more feminine arms/hands.
Mixing colors and getting that vibe.

It makes me smile to see them, even a little lol going on. I wasn't thrilled with the unpainted Morty head but painted it looks good. A lot of nice work and thought obviously went into these, congratulations. Thanks for sharing. Love 'em.

^^ I did 3d print one, but it was after I had the figures finished and paints put away. I'll revisit one of these days.
