I could name quite a few, but I will try to limit it to a baker's dozen, and which one I spin depends on my mood at the time

Pink Floyd-Dark Side of the Moon
      Blues Brothers soundtrack
      Miles Davis-Kind of Blue
Gary Clark Jr. Black and Blue
      Eric Clapton-From the Cradle
      Robert Johnson-The Complete Recordings
      King Crimson-Red
      Led Zeppelin IV
      Yes-Tales from Topographic Oceans
      Queen-News of the World
Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong-Porgie and Bess
      John Coltrane-A Love Supreme
      Jimi Hendrix-Blues

if greatest hits were allowed, I would have put Parliament 20th century Masters on the list instead of something else there. Got to have a little funk in your groove.

Most of the ones I'd mention have already been listed, so I'll toss a few in that I haven't seen:

        - Oingo Boingo 'Dead Man's Party'
        - Green Day 'American Idiot'
        - Foo Fighters 'Sonic Highway'
        - Anita Baker 'Rapture'
        - Melissa Etheridge 'Melissa Etheridge'
        - Camelot (Richard Harris Play) Soundtrack

...and I'm pretty sure there is more I missed.

I'm surprised The Cars/The Cars didn't show up on anybody's lists

IMO, it's probably the best debut album EVER

So right, can't believe I forgot them. Probably because I am working off their greatest hits CD these days.

I just thought of a soundtrack that I used to play a lot - Bullworth.

                  So many out there:

                  Journey's 'Escape'
                  Boston's 'Boston'
Hootie and The Blowfish's 'Cracked Rear View'
Paul McCartney and Wings 'Band On The Run'
                  Fleetwood Mac's 'Fleetwood Mac'
                  Fleetwood Mac's 'Rumours'
                  Peter Gabriel's 'So'
George Harrison's 'All Things Must Pass'

Ones that I think are perfect that some others may not know or may not think are perfect:

                  The Rascals 'Groovin'
                  Ringo Starr's 'Ringo'
                  Crowded House's 'Woodface'
                  Adele's '19'
Dave Barnes' 'You + Me + The World'
                  Genesis' 'Trick Of The Tail'

So many more that I can't think of right now...but it really is about what YOU think is a perfect album. There will always be at least one "go to" album that someone can play from start to finish and say "That's just a perfect record"

                        This one is tough:

If I had to choose only one, definitely my desert island must have:

That said, I never skip songs on any of these and I can't seem to choose a single favorite from them either:

And this would have to be my favorite musical pick, even though it technically wasn't, it should have been :

                          Oh, you meant PERFECT?

John Williams has always been really good at eschewing chronological film order, and arranging cues and mixing in concert arrangements for a really good listening experience. The Star Wars 2LP gave the score lots of breathing room, and a classic listening experience, that while incomplete, is still cherished today. His single LP arrangements for Raiders, E.T. and Jaws are a close second.

I can't include Superman-The Movie because it is unfathomable why he left off the helicopter sequence!

                            You should include Superman, dammit...

BTW, you left out a BIG one...

Great score! But again, the album presentation... I think only a single disc hurt this one.

I never warmed up to the CE3K album arrangement. Although quite good, it doesn't progress in the same way the complete and chronological presentation... from completely atonal to lush melodic beauty.

But yes, if we are talking full scores and not albums, Superman and CE3K both easily make the list.

Hotel California and Abbey Road. I never skip a track and I'm always a little sad when they're over.
