I wish some of these idiot families would stay home. Does everybody have to make going to Walmart's a family outing? I guess they aren't worried about putting their kids at risk.

I won't shame people for leaving their house. But there has been a double standard, essential workers are supposed to go about things as business as usual but everyone else stay home it might kill you. Yeah ok?

I just got a jury duty summons, which seems odd.

Wow, that's BS. So you can't even apply for CERB?

Nope because I applied for EI. I'm a bit surly right now. I keep getting hung up on by these automated systems.

What happens when you apply for CERB on CRA's site? It took me about 5 min and I got my cash the next day!

Fingers crossed for you sir, it must be so frustrating!

I'm glad it worked out for you Aaron. My wife got her's too because the restaurant that she worked at had to close and laid her off. So far I'm still working (from home) and don't need to apply for it (yet).

Thanks it got sorted this morning, what a mess. Service Canada went from not answering to calling me every five minutes this morning. That helps with the bills and is a huge load off.

Glad to hear you got it all sorted out. There were a lot of complications with Ohio's unemployment when all the restaurants were closed mid-March, and it took me a bit to get it all sorted, but I've been getting my unemployment compensation for a couple of weeks now. My wife is a banker, so an essential employee, and is still working, so we weren't in crisis mode, but it still a relief to have something to cover my lost income.
