    Sindy Doll chair set

My wife had a find of her own at her parents house. Back in the 70's her father was stationed just outside of London so she lived there for about six years as a kid. Instead of Barbie, she had a doll called "Sindy" (like Barbie with the types of accessories and such. Well she found these chairs still around (the doll and the rest are long gone). The molding is top notch and the material feels like a vinyl much like a Mego head not hard plastic as one would expect from doll furniture. I thought these are neat so I took some pics. I did some contrast stuff in photoshop with the logo imprinted on the bottom so it can be seen clearer. I'll have a playhouse photo up soon, too.

Hey, that's cool. I remember when Susan Olson of the Brady Bunch (Cindy) began promoting the Sindy doll. I still remember the theme song:

"Sindy can be a friend, pretend she's your very own friend
Where shall you go next? What shall you do?
Whatever it is, she can be there with you,
Sharing life, there's so much to do, that's Sindy
And she's lots of fun for you."
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I had never heard of it before. From my wife's description, I thought it was just a Europe release, but I see online from wiki that Hasbro tried to introduce it into the states, too.

Her roadster was nice and in 1/9 scale, which made her look odd in it.
