Chastity Bono wanted Megos for Christmas

Came across this from a Cher Christmas special. About 6:30 minutes in Chastity asks for POTA tree house and figures.

It sounds like a subtle plug for Mego since Cher was working with them. It would cost them a lot of ad dollars to pay for a commercial spot. This way they get their product mentioned for free. I read somewhere that the Mego Cher doll was the most popular doll of 1976, outselling Barbie. I'm sure one of the perks for working with Mego is that they probably gave Chaz the whole Planet of the Apes line for free in exchange for that plug.

I went back and edited my post and changed the name Chasity to Chaz so I wouldn't offend anyone.
Didn't mean to deadname him on purpose or maliciously. He was little Chasity at the time in the video, and I was talking about him in the past tense. Wasn't even thinking about his current gender identity.

Thanks. And I didn't figure there was any malice. I appreciate the understanding.

Think of it as referring to Ali as Clay or Kareem as Lew or Kaitlyn as Bruce or Robyn as Scott. I'm not sure when the term came around, but the concept isn't new.

I know 3 of the examples you used, but not the fourth. Who is Robyn as Scott?

Hopefully Robyn is doing well. I haven't seen her post in ages.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

We could really use some help with the TPS reports.
