5 Awesome Things on eBay this week

Colin Baker Doctor Who Potato Chip Bags I've never heard of this promotion before, a series of Potato chips (or crisps) promoting the sixth Doctor's adventures. Who doesn't want a used Cheesy Corn Puff bag with Colin Baker on it?

Bootleg Mexican Mego Thor- I used to collect this stuff and honestly remember getting really ****ed off at losing one of these. I think that's when I realized I was pursuing madness because I stopped after that. Yeah, they're terrible and crudely made but there is some sort of charm there that once had me...

Remco Creature and Phantom Makeup- I know it's just a box of makeup but that's the box art from the 9" Remco monsters and that's well...dreamy...

Captain Action Knock Off Figure- I love these knock off Superheroes wearing discarded clothes from Mego or Captain Action or in this case a fashion doll's leotard.

Planet of the Apes Sleeping Bag- I'm a sucker for stuff like this but I don't know how to display them and I rarely get invited to slumber parties anymore.

Of course I like that makeup kit, I wish I could see the booklet.

The creature gills are green vinyl sheets?

Is it wrong that the first thing I saw when looking at that bootleg was "Tom Petty IS Thor".

Great stuff this week...and every week. I have several DC Super Heroes sleeping bags, but have very little luck displaying them. I'm using one on a door we don't use with a window, to block sunlight in our collectibles room.

Among others, I love the mercado bootlegs!… crazy rare to find them with accessories or complete in their crude boxes. Chasing international oddball and bootlegs for me is more about exploring the cultural impact - the contagious fun that toys had back in the day - rather than anything to do with collector commodity, style, accuracy or quality. They are mysterious, inconsistent, and a product of necessity. CheapO toys for common or poor kids in working class communities; I can relate to that.

Oh, if I had a way to deal with the sleeping bag, it would already be here!… do people collect these; how to optimally display??? Best case, you just sleep in it right?

Thor looks like he's in pain. With arms like that, I can see why he would be.

Not really my thing but I get the appreciation of bootlegs to a point. Some are really nice. That Thor is just kinda depressing.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

why not just roll the sleeping bag up and display it that way? the picture is repetitive so all you need to do is show the main photo once, in the roll

It's his eyebrows. I think Thor himself looks depressed.
